What we’re looking forWe are seeking an engineering intern for a project‑based internship in development, controls, systems, testing, or operations. The internship will involve research, modeling, design, and documentation that support engineering and operations management, progressing in complexity as the intern gains experience.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be guided by structural goals and objectives and will deliver inspiring projects. Your manager will provide coaching, mentoring, and direction. The intern will be assigned to a technical project in one of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
This manufacturing engineering intern will work on the implementation of new production lines, sub‑assembly stations, and the operational excellence model across the facility (production and/or stockroom/shipping). Tasks include layout and process development, documentation of standard work and training materials for new operations, implementing a tiered accountability system, and developing a standard problem‑solving process. Projects will be evaluated on accuracy and the ability to meet milestone due dates.
BasicQualifications
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Rising junior to senior, progressing toward a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
- Analytical and conceptual thinking, using logic, reason, creative and strategic thinking
- Effective statistical analysis skills
- Effective research and communication skills, including written and oral communication
- Problem‑solving ability, solving complex problems efficiently
- Strong business acumen and sound judgment
- Ability to build and manage collaborative relationships
- Results‑driven mindset
