Are you a Senior Materials/Metallurgical Engineer looking to step into a highly technical and leadership role, and be mentored by an experienced VP within a niche industry, with a clear long-term career path toward Director-level?
This is a rare succession-planning opportunity within a long-established metal manufacturing business that continues to grow and expand into new markets. You will be mentored one-on-one by a highly experienced VP, learning the operation end-to-end while being the go to technical metallurgy expert.

In this role, you will start as the technical authority for metallurgy and materials, while progressively moving into people leadership, operational oversight, and strategic decision-making.
This role would suit a Senior Metallurgist or Materials Engineer who wants to recognized as the go-to technical expert in a rapidly expanding business.
The Role:
- Act as the senior technical authority for metallurgy, alloys, and materials processing
- Work directly alongside the current VP (retiring June) as part of a structured succession plan
- Gradually assume responsibility for manufacturing operations, people leadership, and process oversight
- Support alloy development, process improvements, and technical problem-solving for internal and external customers
The Person:
- Background in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Metals Manufacturing
- Senior or Lead-level technical experience with a strong desire to move into management
- Motivated by mentorship, succession planning, and building a long-term career within one business
