This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Stormwater & Resiliency Lead for our Mid
- Atlantic Earth and Environment team

. The candidate will be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Serve as Client Account Manager for several existing Municipal Stormwater Clients
  • Work closely within our Planning Team and with our Mid-Atlantic Engineering Team to mentor junior staff and deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients.
  • Develop municipal stormwater business with existing clients and build additional business through new client relationships.
  • Lead/Focus our Virginia/Mid-Atlantic Resiliency (water, climate, environmental) practice by identifying and implementing strategies, establishing client relationships and proposal opportunities.
  • Respond to requests for proposals and assemble project teams to meet client needs.
  • Successfully manage task-order based framework contracts (scope, schedule, budget, profit, cash flow, client satisfaction, repeat work, etc.).
Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, engineering, political science, public administration, environmental science, or natural resource management.
  • 15+ years of relevant technical/professional experience.
  • Demonstrated team leadership, goal-driven performance, and staff development.
  • Solid project management experience including scheduling, budgeting, resource management, profit, cash flow, and client relations.
  • Demonstrated experience/familiarity with client-focused resiliency program development, federal/state water quality (TMDLs, Chesapeake Bay, NPDES, MS4) and flood control programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with group facilitation.
  • Strategic planning experience.
  • Marketing experience and willingness to develop a long‑term client base.
  • CFM certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in planning, engineering, political science, public administration, environmental science, or natural resource management.
  • Professional association/organization engagement to expand WSP market and reputation.
