Job Description
Dewberry Design-Builders Inc. is seeking a Senior Leader for our water and wastewater design build practice. The position will manage our design‑build water/wastewater infrastructure projects for private industrial and municipal clients. As a Senior Leader, you'll have the opportunity to enhance our current strategy and tactics related to the water/wastewater design‑build contracting, design, subcontractor development/vetting, pricing and construction.
The position is also responsible for business development of new opportunities with Dewberry's water market segment leadership. Responsibilities include managing internal and external design and construction resources that deliver projects from inception through delivery to our clients. The position will lead on the development of pursuit strategy, estimating and execution planning for projects.

Typical projects include design, design‑build and construction of projects related to renovations and improvements to industrial and municipal wastewater and water facilities and infrastructure.
With support from the enterprise, the successful candidate will be responsible for improving and managing subcontract partner relationships, client satisfaction, project delivery, technical quality, safety and achieving the financial performance associated with each design‑build project.

- Develop and execute business development strategies that drive revenue and profit margin growth.
- Develop and manage project construction estimates, project financial metrics and schedules for our water sector projects.
- Manage our design‑build and construction projects associated with energy facilities.
- Working with Dewberry's HSE leadership, manage our approach to safety across our water sector projects.
- Achieve schedule and budget objectives.
- Mobilize, energize, and organize cross‑functional teams for success.
- Collaborate proactively and productively with other groups and company offices across the Dewberry water sector teams.
- Review and manage prime contracts and subcontract terms and strategies.
- Lead our subcontractor selection and partnering, including contract strategy for complex design‑build projects. Lead pricing and alternative project delivery strategy with our partners for design‑build projects.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil, environmental or environmental engineering is highly recommended.
- 15+ years of experience managing complex multi‑disciplined (i.e. trades including site civil, mechanical, electrical/controls trades) water/wastewater projects for industrial and municipal facilities.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality assurance / quality control and risk management.
- Experience managing planning, design, and construction phase projects while interfacing and coordinating with other project managers, engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists.
