Electrical Drafter - Nuclear Power

Base salary: $50,320 – $72,350 per year.

• Utilize and expand drafting skills in a multi‑disciplined team environment, collaborating with designers and engineers to prepare design drawings.
• Apply computer‑aided drafting skills and receive hands‑on training in 3D design software such as AutoCAD 3D and/or Micro Station, plus Sargent & Lundy’s proprietary design databases.
• Create master sketches to scale, showing the relationship of proposed installations to existing facilities and detailing exact specifications and dimensions.

• Assist experienced designers during client site walk‑downs to gather information for design projects.
• Interface with vendors and construction contractors, explaining drawings to facilitate design adjustments.

• Associate’s Degree in Drafting or a high‑school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
• Advanced drafting experience using AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer.
• Ability to multi‑task across multiple projects.

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used in producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Understanding of engineering science and technology, with the ability to relate equipment to technical designs.
