CAD Designer

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience
• 1+ year of substation or utility experience preferred
• Strong AutoCAD knowledge and abilities.
• General understanding of electrical, mechanical, and civil design concepts.
• Competency in applying technical concepts, standards, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to think analytically and solve technical problems.
• Knowledge of company design and operating standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance but knows when to get others involved.
• Experience with interpreting technical drawings (i.e. onelines, outline diagrams) is a plus.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Skills:
  
  Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry required to perform complex calculations. Effective oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills (including technical writing).

Associates Degree
