The Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) is a training role focused on learning to supervise and direct employees on specific projects, develop strategic plans and budgets, and analyze statistical data.
This position requires experience in technology systems integration, including passive and active communication infrastructure, with proven leadership in design and construction teams.
ResponsibilitiesEducation, Experience & Technical Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience with telecommunications integrators or electrical contractors, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience with telecommunication and electronic security projects valued between $500,000 and $10M.
- Proficiency with contract documents, RFIs, submittals, and change management.
- Experience installing Information Transport Systems.
- Proficient in MS Office, project management tools, CPM scheduling, cost modeling, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of technical design techniques for electrical and security projects.
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and organize activities effectively.
- Ability to work in diverse environments and maintain reliable attendance at customer sites.
- Flexible schedule with occasional nights and weekends; up to 25% travel with reliable transportation.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Accubid Estimating or similar software.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to work with computer screens for extended periods.
- Sitting for long durations, reaching, finger dexterity.
- Effective listening, speaking, reading, and problem-solving skills.
