Overview:

Our client is a well-established consulting engineering firm and a national pioneer in the development of net zero energy buildings. They are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team within the Richmond market.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems.

Assist in meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.

Review contractor submittals to ensure conformance with contract documents.

Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks.

Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.

Identify and resolve conflicts as they arise.

Create and maintain customer relationships.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and

Experience:

8+ years of experience in consulting engineering.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.

Experience in MEP Design.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT software.
