This role involves working with GIS and database applications modeling electric utility distribution systems. It requires understanding of business processes related to design, construction, and operations, as well as data attributes supporting these processes. The candidate must be able to create a connected model that replicates the electric distribution system, supporting operations such as Outage Management, Customer Management, Billing, Maintenance, Switching, and Safety.
Responsibilities include performing and managing QA/QC processes, and availability for emergency and planned overtime is required.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus equivalent education and experience, are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience- 0-2 years of experience with electric utility distribution systems.
- Related experience in GIS database or mapping systems, Drafting, Construction Inspection, or Survey; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities; strong interpersonal, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with TRSi and CBMS (for contractor conversions only).
An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Preferred disciplines include Computer Science, Drafting and Design, Engineering Technology, and Geography.
Licenses, Certifications, or QualificationsPreferred:
Certificate of Proficiency in GIS from a recognized training center, college, or university.
Travel up to 25% may be required.
