We are currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer capable of managing geotechnical aspects of projects, performing geotechnical analyses, providing geotechnical and foundation recommendations, and providing geotechnical recommendations during construction.
Responsibilities- Managing and delivering quality geotechnical services on time and within budget.
- Preparing and modifying reports, specifications, plan details, and designs for projects.
- Serving as a technical resource on a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Preparing and managing subsurface exploration programs.
- Preparing cost estimates, determining scope of work, and preparing proposals.
- Coordinating and ensuring completeness and accuracy of design effort.
- Using design software to prepare engineering recommendations.
- Participating in Design/Build efforts, consulting with contractor/construction personnel about constructability and cost as recommendations relate to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of construction activities.
- Working on‑site for clients or in a project office when needed.
- Participating in project scoping and fee estimating, proposal preparation, and interviews.
- Performing design calculations and conducting investigations toward design recommendations and development of contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates).
- Bachelor's degree specializing in Geotechnical Engineering;
Master’s degree specializing preferred. - Must have 5‑10 years of experience in geotechnical design.
- Experience with static and dynamic load testing, highly desired.
- Field experience relating to site grading, slope stabilization, retaining walls and foundation construction, highly desired.
- Professional Engineer Certification required.
- Design Build experience preferred.
