We are seeking Entry Level Structural Engineers to join our Structural/Marine Group in our Richmond, VA office.

Come join our collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects, including buildings, industrial facilities, mission critical/secure facilities, water/wastewater plants, and waterfront facilities. WRA has a strong mentoring culture and a focus on staff development.

Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials. Conduct field investigations, develop concept designs, and create construction documents for clients across a broad range of markets, including Federal/Local Government, Industrial, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials.
• Conduct field investigations, develop concept designs, and create construction documents.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on projects across Federal/Local Government, Industrial, and Manufacturing markets.

Requirements:

• 0-4 years of structural design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited program
• Internship experience in a related field preferred
• Experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA, STAAD, etc.)
• Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD)
• Knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, etc.)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Additional Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration preferred
• Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
