GeneralStatement of Duties
CodeRVA Regional High School seeks a passionate, highly-qualified, experienced, professional educator to serve as an instructional facilitator with blended learning as the cornerstones of instructional delivery. This highly-innovative instructional model will require a flexible educator willing to build individual relationships with a diverse student body with a range of learning needs and learn and adapt instruction to personalize learning to meet student needs.
This is a 11-month teaching position. This is a 229-Day Teaching Assignment.
- Plans and facilitates instruction to students in a blended-learning setting.
- Reviews, revises, and creates curricula and learning resources for mathematics courses.
- Supports and incorporates software development methodologies and computer programming into daily instruction.
- Plans, facilitates and monitors student progress and assesses skills in communication (oral and written), collaboration, critical thinking, and confidence.
- Monitors and assesses students’ learning on an ongoing basis and alters instruction to meet group/individual needs, including remediation and intervention services.
- Maintains familiarity with Virginia Standards of Learning and assessment system.
- Uses the CodeRVA curriculum and student progress data to plan daily instructional activities.
- Collaborates with other faculty in planning and facilitating student instruction that integrates learning within and among academic disciplines, integrates applied learning scenarios, and incorporates project-based learning.
- Maintains order within the instructional setting in accordance with division guidelines regarding student behavior management.
- Supervises students in non-instructional time (before school, after school, student activities, fire drills).
- Communicates regularly with parents.
- Ensures compliance with existing applicable federal and state statutes and local policies, regulations and guidelines related to public schools.
- Demonstrates commitment to improving professional competence.
- Performs other duties as established by School Board Policy.
- Performs other duties as needed.
- Must hold a valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Mathematics.
- Prior experience working with students of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, utilizing blended and project-based learning, developing curriculum and assessing student achievement preferred.
- The ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
- Requires knowledge of the concepts, principles and methodologies of instruction as well as general knowledge of academic curriculum for assigned classes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop instructional goals to design and deliver instruction and to assess student learning.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability in decision making, problem analysis, conflict resolution, interpersonal relationships, and planning.
This is an 11-month teaching position with a July 1, 2026, start date. The annual salary stated in this posting is based on the adopted financial plan for CodeRVA. The annual salary for the coming school year will be determined once the school year financial plan is approved and adopted in the Spring of 2026.
Minimum Starting Pay*- $56,234.14 (BA)
