Physics Adjunct (Summer & Fall 2026)

Germanna Community College is a two‑year public institution of higher education within the Virginia Community College System. We invite qualified candidates to serve as an adjunct physics faculty member for the summer and fall semesters of 2026, teaching both in‑person and online courses.

• Teach designated physics classes in both classroom and online formats.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain accurate records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the College and the Virginia Community College System.
• Maintain current competence in the field of physics.

• Master’s Degree in Physics with at least 18 graduate semester hours.
• Proven ability to teach in both traditional and online environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Proficiency with instructional technology and willingness to explore artificial intelligence tools.

• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Work experience in the physics field.
• Experience creating and teaching synchronous and asynchronous online courses at a regionally accredited institution.
