Adjunct Faculty - Humanities and Social Science
The position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray‑Page County Center as needed. Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening, and weekend classes, including distance‑learning courses on‑campus and off‑campus.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver college‑level courses in humanities and social science subjects.
- Create and maintain accurate course materials and student assessments.
- Maintain timely records of grades and course attendance.
- Participate in faculty meetings and continuous professional development activities.
- Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the specific teaching discipline.
- Teaching experience at the post‑secondary level preferred.
- History of successful teaching or related instructional experience.
- Ability to use instructional technology effectively.
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty positions pay per credit hour, commensurate with education and teaching experience. Because the role is part‑time, it is not eligible for health or leave benefits, but may offer educational benefits through professional development and assistance policies.
