Adjunct Instructor – Health Professions
Laurel Ridge Community College is seeking qualified applicants to fill this part‑time position within the Health Professions Department.
Duties- Provide general classroom and clinical labs instruction both online and in a traditional setting.
- Teach face‑to‑face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
- Incorporate the latest instructional technologies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
- Assist in program recruitment.
- Advise students who are in the program or aspire to be in the program.
- Monitor and improve student retention.
- Maintain class records, input grades and attendance.
- Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
- Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty:
The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant teaching experience. The position is part‑time and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
- Associates degree required.
- Effective communication, both oral and written.
- Expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Bachelor’s degree desired (specific certifications may be required depending on the program).
- Must be willing to teach on any of our sites, centers, or campuses—online, hybrid, or in‑person.
