Overview

Part-time teaching assignments in Computer Science at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Classes may be on-campus or online, day or evening, depending on college need.

• Part-time teaching assignments in Computer Science.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science. Courses taken must be designated Computer Science courses on the official transcript.

• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and the ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
• Experience with JAVA, Python, Computer Organization or Discrete Structures is also preferred.
• Online course instruction experience and/or training will be beneficial.
