Overview

Adjunct faculty pool for Culinary Arts. This is a part-time, course-by-course appointment. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college-level courses, which may include distance-learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Faculty members are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education.

PVCC is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education serving Central Virginia. Our campus is located in Albemarle County, Virginia. PVCC is part of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS).

• Teach developmental and/or college-level Culinary Arts courses; may include distance-learning courses and evening/weekend teaching as needed.
• Maintain currency in teaching discipline and trends in community college education.
• May be assigned special assignments and other duties as needed.

• Associates in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or related field; two years of industry experience;
  Serv Safe certification.
• The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience.
• Two years teaching experience, management experience in the industry, and experience with online teaching are considered additional qualifications.
