Brightpoint Community College is seeking qualified individuals to apply for the EMS Associate Instructor position to provide on-campus delivery of instruction at both the Chester and Midlothian campuses, with limited opportunity for online instruction. Assigned courses include primarily daytime and evening on-campus sections, at the Chester and Midlothian campuses. The Associate Instructor will teach the equivalent of 39-42 credits per academic year.

There are no formal student advising or committee responsibilities. The Associate Instructor role is a restricted 9-month teaching position with salary and benefits.

Special Assignments:
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

• Provide on-campus instruction at the Chester and Midlothian campuses with limited online instruction.
• Teach the equivalent of 39-42 credits per academic year.
• Adhere to the 9-month teaching appointment structure with associated salary and benefits.
• May perform other duties as assigned and assist during emergencies as directed.

• Candidate must be a certified Paramedic with a minimum of two (2) years of field experience at that level.
• Applicant should hold an Associate’s degree or higher in EMS or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Prior teaching experience in EMS is required; preference given to those with Education Coordinator credentials.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to student success, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to teach day, evening, weekend, hybrid, and online classes across various campus locations.
• A successful background check is required.
