Work Schedule:
Varies. Instructional delivery can be online, on campus, or at the corporate client’s site. Adjunct instructors for corporate and professional training are appointed on an as-needed basis, contract by contract.

The Center for Workforce Solutions is in search of Corporate Solutions – Professional Development Training Instructors to add to our roster of faculty/contract adjuncts for assignments in training and professional development programs on an as-needed basis for the following programs:
- Project Management Certification (PMP®)
- Six Sigma (all levels)
- Lean Manufacturing
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Human Resource Management
- Leadership
- Customer Service
- Hospitality (Hotel, Restaurant, Gaming, Yacht and Country Clubs)
- Management and Supervisory
- Personality Assessments (i.e., Strengths finder®, MBTI, DISC)
- Computer IT and Technology
- Summer Camps
- Design, develop and implement innovative, customized corporate and professional training programs for diverse clients.
- Provide instruction and assessment activities in area of expertise in a customized format to meet the unique training needs of corporate clients.
- Develop course material and activities.
- Provide assistance in activities directly related to scheduled instruction.
Work location may vary (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach).
Special AssignmentsMay be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications- Appropriate certification to area of expertise, where applicable.
- Demonstrated academic and/or professional expertise in the corresponding field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Prior experience teaching adult learners.
- Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge, competence, and currency in the subject area to be taught.
- Commitment to community college philosophy and student success.
- Experience with online learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).
- Recent experience preparing adult learners for success on credentialing exams (SHRM®, LSS, PMP®).
