Overview

Adjunct Faculty – Chemistry (Agency: Piedmont Virginia Community College, Division: Piedmont Virginia Community College). Position: 282A0000, Level: Part Time, Salary: commensurate with education and experience, FLSA:
Exempt.

Work Location:

Albemarle – 003. This position may include teaching at any PVCC location, including the Giuseppe Center in Greene County and correctional facilities in Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Dillwyn.

Schedule:

courses during day and evening, on weekdays and weekends, primarily face‑to‑face with the possibility of remote instruction.

Teach developmental and/or college‑level chemistry courses, including distance‑learning courses. May perform other duties as assigned and may assist during emergency declarations.

• Expert skills, knowledge, experience, and education in chemistry.
• Master’s degree in chemistry or Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in chemistry.
• Two years of teaching experience and experience with online teaching.
• Work experience in the field is an additional consideration.
