Adjunct Faculty Pool – General Biology at Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC). Role Code FLSA Exempt Pay Band UG Position Number 282A0000.

Part‑time (adjunct). Salary commensurate with education and experience. Telework options subject to change based on business needs.

Teach developmental and/or college‑level courses, including distance‑learning courses during the day, evening, weekdays, and weekends. Courses may be delivered face‑to‑face with the possibility of remote instruction. Teaching may occur at any PVCC location, including the Giuseppe Center in Greene County and correctional facilities in Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Dillwyn.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government in emergency situations declared by the Governor.

• Master’s degree in biology or a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in biology.
• Expert knowledge, experience, and education in biology with a history of successful teaching or related experience.
• Two years of teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with online teaching.
• Ability to operate a state vehicle; no supervision of employees; no required travel beyond campus/site assignments.
