Title: Adjunct Faculty – Professional Programs

Employment Type: Part‑time adjunct faculty (day, evening, and weekend classes)
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate college courses, including distance learning, on‑campus, and hybrid formats during day, evening, and weekends.
- Develop, prepare, and review course materials and assignments.
- Maintain professional knowledge in the discipline and incorporate instructional technology into teaching.
- Demonstrate teaching skills when required.
- Assist the college during emergency declarations when necessary.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) and at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the relevant discipline.
- Valid teaching or related experience in administration of justice, paralegal studies, cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, business management, nursing, surgical technology, dental hygiene, physical therapy, human services, medical laboratory technology, emergency medical technology, or medical records.
- For certain developmental or technical courses, a Bachelor’s degree, special certification, or substantial work experience may be acceptable.
- Proficiency with instructional technology and digital learning platforms.
- Valid Virginia or eligible state driver’s license if vehicle operation required.
- Ability to pass the college’s pre‑employment security screening.
Compensation is paid per credit hour and commensurate with education and teaching experience. Part‑time faculty are not eligible for health or leave benefits but may access the college’s professional development and educational assistance programs.
