Job Description
Shineforth’s Charterhouse School is a place where Virginia’s kids with special needs can get out of their comfort zone and start to get out into the world. Our elementary, middle and high school students benefit from a proven curriculum of academic and social skills instruction.
We serve students ages 6 to 22 with neurological differences, emotional, learning, developmental, and intellectual disabilities. Student-to-teacher ratio averages 8:1.
Position OverviewCurriculum, Assessment and Remediation Coordinator – School Test Coordinator (STC). Coordinate, schedule, and administer required assessments; serve as the point of contact for all LEAs for testing and assessment; supervise teachers in the residential program; coordinate IIPs for applicable students.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and administer required assessments and testing.
- Serve as the point of contact for all LEAs for testing and assessment.
- Supervise teachers in the residential program.
- Coordinate Individual IIPs for applicable students.
- Valid Virginia teaching license (Postgraduate Professional preferred) with an endorsement in Special Education and/or Administration and Supervision.
- Three or more years of successful experience with classroom instruction, testing, tutoring and/or remediation services.
