Remuneration:
Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Overview

This position, as a facilitator or instructor, will be responsible for developing high-quality curriculum materials and delivering content-specific instruction. This role may involve creating, developing, implementing, and/or leading instruction for courses that enhance the skills and knowledge of participants that are tailored to meet the requirements for licensure set by the Virginia Department of Education. Instructors are contracted on an as-needed basis for Educate

VA. Candidates must hold a valid Virginia teaching license.

Courses may be offered day, evening, weekend and at various locations.

Job Duties
  • Program Development:
    Collaborate with program administrators to develop customized materials, including presentations, assessments, and other related content.
  • Delivery of Instruction:
    Lead instructional sessions for groups, both in-person and virtually, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
  • Evaluation:
    Assess participant work based on program guidelines and provide individualized feedback on a routine basis.
  • Participant Interaction:
    Maintain strong relationships with program participants, understand their evolving needs, and provide expert advice on key concepts and practices.
  • Documentation:
    Provide detailed feedback to program participants and communicate areas for improvement to program administrators.
  • Continuous Learning:
    Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the delivery of relevant and current content.
Special Assignments
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Virginia Department of Education licensure requirements, instructional standards, and adult learning principles.
  • Skill in designing and delivering high-quality, content-specific curriculum in in-person and virtual learning environments.
  • Skill in assessing participant performance and providing timely, individualized, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to engage diverse learners, adapt instruction to participant needs, and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate with program administrators, document participant progress, and remain current with educational best practices.
Additional Considerations

Current experience in the K-12 setting necessary. Operation of a State Vehicle. No Supervises Employees. No Required Travel.
