Commensurate with the education and experience of the applicant. Role Type:
Part‑time adjunct teaching assignment. Telework options are subject to change based on business needs.
Part‑time teaching assignments in Computer Science, including on‑campus or online instruction, day or evening, depending on campus needs. Candidates will be scheduled to teach courses as needed and may be required to conduct other duties as assigned or assist the agency in emergency situations.
Responsibilities- Teach Computer Science courses on an adjunct basis.
- Prepare and deliver course materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and maintain grading standards.
- Assist the agency or state government in emergency situations if required.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
- Maintain communication with faculty, staff, and students.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent graduate coursework (minimum 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science).
- Courses taken must be designated Computer Science courses on the official transcript.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work with a diverse population.
- Experience with Java, Python, Computer Organization, or Discrete Structures is also preferred.
- Online course instruction experience and/or training is beneficial.
- No required travel.
- Classes may be located on any of the college’s campuses.
- No supervision of employees.
Commensurate with education and experience. No required travel or full‑time benefits for part‑time adjuncts.
