Assist teaching up to 12 credit hours in fall and spring semesters and up to 8 credit hours in summer. Appointment is on a standing pool basis with no guarantee of continued employment. Instruction may be at day, evening, or weekend times. Courses include Survey of Physics, Astronomy I & II, General College Physics I & II, and University Physics I & II.

• Design and deliver instruction for day and evening classes.
• Responsible for student assessment and grading.
• Maintain adequate on‑campus presence.
• Provide timely communication with students, staff, and administrators.
• May perform other duties as assigned, including assistance in emergency situations.

• Master’s Degree in Physics or Master’s with at least 18 graduate hours in Physics or Astronomy from a regionally accredited institution.
• Passionate about the discipline and committed to a student‑centered philosophy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in communication with students, colleagues, staff, and administrators.
• Willingness to serve traditional and non‑traditional students from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize documented student learning.
• Adopt fair methods to measure student progress toward learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently, returning work promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and/or strong interest in teaching and inspiring adult learners.
• Must be able to work at all campus locations.

• Community college teaching experience.
• Experience teaching online, hybrid, and traditional face‑to‑face modalities.
• Proficiency with instructional technologies and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).
• Ability to measure, assess, and align student outcomes.
