Communications Adjunct Teaching Position

This adjunct faculty role teaches up to 12 credit hours of in‑person or online communications classes each academic semester. Assignments may be on the main campus, at off‑site centers, or with dual‑enrolled students in Early College, the CTE Academy, and/or the Governor’s STEM Academy. Position longevity depends on sufficient funding, enrollment, and performance.
Responsibilities- Teach up to 12 credit hours of in‑person or online communications courses per semester.
- Use new and emerging pedagogies in the classroom, both in person and online.
- Work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population.
- Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of a master’s degree in communications or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in communications.
- Must demonstrate effective and engaging teaching skills, both in person and online.
- Prior teaching experience in the community college environment, including teaching dual‑enrolled students.
- Must be able to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population.
- May be required to travel to all campus locations.
- Operation of a State Vehicle. No Supervises Employees. No Required Travel.
