Clinical Instructor (Fauquier Campus)
Virginia's Community College System invites applications for the part‑time Clinical Instructor position in the Nursing program at the Fauquier Campus. The role is a Trainer/Instructor II (Role Code 29112-SW), non‑exempt, and will be based at the Laurel Ridge Community College site in Fauquier. The position requires up to 29 hours per week and is not eligible for health or leave benefits, though educational benefits are available through the college’s professional development policies.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical and/or laboratory instruction to nursing students in accordance with program objectives.
- Develop and present instructional materials, clinical learning activities, and assessment tools.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of nursing evidence‑based practice, policies, and regulations.
- Support the agency or state government as necessary during emergency declarations.
- Assist in program evaluation and continuous improvement of the Nursing curriculum.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and may assist in travel or coverage across the college service region.
- Current unrestricted RN license in Virginia.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in mother/baby or medical/surgical nursing.
- Excellent communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
- Willingness to support institutional, divisional, and program goals.
- Ability to travel to sites or campuses as required.
- Hourly rate varies by education level: $30.00 (LPN), $40.32 (Associate’s), $43.03 (Bachelor’s), $45.70 (Master’s), $48.39 (Doctorate).
- Position is part‑time (maximum 29 hours per week).
