Location: Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk.
Employment type: Part‑time.
Pay range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

• Plan and deliver coursework effectively in classroom and online settings for students with diverse academic backgrounds.
• Employ clear oral and written communication skills and collaborate cooperatively with staff.
• Assist the agency or state government in the event of a declaration of emergency by the Governor.

• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

• Approved as an instructor by the National Maritime Center.
• Valid Merchant Mariner Credential.
• Technology proficiency suitable for teaching in a high‑technology environment.
• Operation of a state vehicle.
