The Business Essentials Unit in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants for adjunct faculty positions on an ongoing basis. Should funding for such adjunct teaching positions become available, the Undergraduate Studies Office will contact persons in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.
BUSN 323:
Basic legal concepts applicable to business, including the legal aspects of operating a business, contracts, employment relationships, sales, and bailments and commercial paper. Also includes ethical considerations and social and political influences.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs an Adjunct Instructor in the Business Essentials Unit in the School of Business, you will help support the School of Business strategic plan. Instructors will be expected to hold regular, online office hours.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- J.D. degree
- 5+ years of work in the legal profession
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an employee at VCU.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in teaching courses with high enrollment in higher education
- Experience with Canvas or another learning management system
