We are seeking a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certified Cardiologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role offers day shifts Monday through Friday with weekend and night call on a rotating basis. The assignment is focused on advanced heart failure and does not require invasive procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage patients with advanced heart failure, including those with ventricular assist devices
• Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Participate in rotating call coverage for nights and weekends
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, adhering to institutional protocols

Additional Information

• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• AHF Fellowship with LVAD experience required
• DEA and active Virginia medical license required
• Board certification in Cardiology required
• Provider must be local; only mileage is reimbursed
• Temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean background
