About the role
Join the team at RAM Equipment
, a trusted name in earthmoving equipment hire and sales. We're looking for a Customer Service Representative who thrives on delivering outstanding service and building strong relationships with our valued clients.
Based full-time at our Richmond, SA office, you'll be the first point of contact for customers—whether it's over the phone, via email, or in person. Your role will be key in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting our sales and hire team.
A background or understanding of the construction or civil industries will be highly regarded, as it helps you speak our customers' language and understand their needs.
What you'll be doing- Handle a high volume of inbound calls, emails and client inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
- Respond to customer requests and queries in a timely and accurate manner
- Process orders, returns and other customer transactions accurately
- Process hire bookings and coordinate logistics with internal teams
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all customer interactions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our customer service processes and procedures
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer service or client-facing role, ideally in the construction or industrial equipment industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide excellent customer service
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to handle a diverse range of customer inquiries
- Proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other office productivity software
- Intermediate level experience with CRM systems is required for effective customer management and data entry
- A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
- Good time management and organizational skills to manage a high volume of tasks and deadlines
- Valid Australian driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be legally entitled to work in Australia
