Our projects are typically within Sports & Entertainment, Healthcare, Higher-Education, and large-scale commercial construction projects.

As a Safety Manager
, you’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing safety responsibilities. You’ll work closely with project teams and receive guidance from senior safety leadership, ensuring that every jobsite meets Barton Malow’s high standards and complies with OSHA regulations.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and audits on a project site. Corrects or abates basic hazards, unsafe acts, safety violations, or safety issues. Effectively addresses basic project safety concerns that may develop or exist. Consult the Safety Manager or above to resolve any safety matters that are not basic or have project-only implications.
  • Executes project safety plans, Barton Malow safety manual policies and procedures, as well as OSHA standards on a project.
  • May lead or facilitate safety meetings and orientations. Participate in project leadership meetings for the presentation and dissemination of project safety matters.
  • Conducts and/or reviews inspections of machines, tools, equipment, vehicles, and safety equipment. Possesses Competent Person status for such equipment to determine proper action and disposition based on inspections.
  • Leads or performs incident investigations for all types of incidents and compiles documentation and summaries of such investigations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • 3+ years of construction safety experience in a similar role
  • OSHA 510 certification preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Flexibility to travel to the project sites
