Construction Technician

Overview

Join Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) as a Construction Technician in our Richmond, VA office. This role involves construction monitoring and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials. It is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates interested in geology, geotechnical engineering, or construction project management, with opportunities for training, certifications, and career advancement.

• Monitor and test construction materials such as soil, concrete, and other materials.
• Perform on-site inspections and data collection.
• Stand for extended periods, lift and move up to 60 pounds routinely and 80 pounds occasionally.
• Maintain personal protective equipment: high-visibility vest, hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Certificates such as NICET, ACI, WACEL, VA DOT are a plus.
• Own a reliable vehicle, have a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.

Hourly wage $95,000.00–$. Overtime paid at 1.5x. Travel mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate.
