Position OverviewLB&B Associates Inc. is seeking a talented Repair and Alterations Manager to oversee construction and repair projects at Federal Buildings and U.S. Courthouses throughout Virginia. This is a full‑time, exempt position offering a dynamic work environment and opportunities to make a significant impact on federal facilities. A company vehicle is provided to travel to the sites.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, prioritize, and estimate facility‑related construction projects, including interior alterations, building envelope repairs, and electrical/mechanical upgrades.
- Prepare Statements of Work for bids and manage the execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop construction cost estimates for various projects for bid.
- Coordinate and communicate directly with GSA and tenants.
- Travel to various project sites across Virginia as needed.
- Ensure all work meets high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience supervising or managing commercial construction projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with professionalism and poise.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Virginia.
