We are located on 1.5 acres of land at 5000 Ridgedale Parkway in North Chesterfield, VA. With up to 104 students, from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our caring team is committed to your child s safety, fun, and education.

The Teacher position requires 24 clock hours of training related to the care of children within 1 month after hire or promotion to be considered a Lead. If the applicant wishes to be an assistant, 16 hours of annual training is required within 1 month after hire or promotion. The position is part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.

The candidate must be available to work on days when kids are out of school. This position could be Full or Part-Time
. If applying for part-time, we would need you for 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday (2 hours AM and 2 hours PM). Additional hours are available if the person hired is flexible and seeks Full Time hours. If Full Time is desired, the candidate must be comfortable working with any age group and be willing to work at any capacity needed (e.g., cleaning, cooking, and assisting with children).

This position requires experience driving a 15-passenger van with young children (good driving record with no major violations). It could be Full or Part-Time
. If part-time, 4 hours a day, Monday-Friday (2 hours AM and 2 hours PM). Additional hours are available if flexible. If Full Time is desired, the candidate must be comfortable working with any age group (Will be a floater). The role requires willingness to work at any capacity needed, including cleaning, cooking, and assisting with children. A Criminal Background Check, Child Protective Services Background Check, and a Skin TB test are required.

The teacher must complete 13 hours of online training upon being hired and before starting work. Reliable transportation is necessary.

• Minimum age 18 years
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience with children of multiple ages
• Proof of a negative TB test
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days
• MAT (Medication Administration Training) certification may be required
• Complete and maintain required trainings
• Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check, Virginia State Police background check, and Child Protective Services check

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively and professionally with children, families, and staff. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are required. Maintain safety and welfare of all enrolled children, supervise activities, and support appropriate behavior standards using non-punitive methods. Duties include day-to-day procedures and maintaining a balanced work environment.

Includes planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation across arts and crafts, group time, science, indoor/outdoor games, snacks/lunch, and rest periods as directed by the Director. Prepare lesson plans, curriculum plans, and supply requests on time. Develops professional relationships with classroom teachers, co-workers, families, and other staff. Attend all staff meetings and related functions. Assist in sustaining and providing regular testing of emergency response plans.

Continue professional development. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Other duties as assigned.
