Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as an Enterprise Supplier Risk Analyst.

This important role will lead the development and execution of Virginia Housing’s first formal Supplier Management and Third-Party Risk program. As the organization’s subject matter expert, you will oversee the entire vendor lifecycle—from sourcing support and due diligence through onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding—ensuring suppliers meet contractual, operational, cybersecurity, financial, and regulatory requirements. In this role you will design supplier governance frameworks, implement risk-tiering methodologies, and drive compliance with industry standards.

Working closely with key business stakeholders, this role safeguards Virginia Housing’s operations while delivering supplier value and mitigating third-party risks.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of Virginia Housing’s Supplier Management and Third-Party Risk program. Oversee the entire vendor lifecycle—from sourcing support and due diligence through onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding. Ensure suppliers meet contractual, operational, cybersecurity, financial, and regulatory requirements. Design supplier governance frameworks, implement risk-tiering methodologies, and drive compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with key business stakeholders to safeguard operations while delivering supplier value and mitigating third-party risks.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, risk management, contract management, or business administration preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read/interpret contracts, statements of work, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High degree of self-management, initiative, ownership, and comfortable as the sole subject matter expert for supplier oversight.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors, assessments, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, relationship-oriented approach with the ability to build trust across departments.
Ideal Candidate Experience

The Ideal Candidate Would Also Have Experience In

  • 5+ years of experience in supplier management, procurement, purchasing, contract management, or third-party risk management within a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, housing finance, government entity, or similar), is preferred.
  • Experience with supplier governance or TPRM programs strongly preferred.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Info Sec, Risk, and business owners.

Hiring Range: $95,000 - $128,000
