SUMMARYThe Director of Loss Prevention Field Audit (DLPFA) leads the loss prevention and operational compliance audit function across a national portfolio of bowling centers, family entertainment centers, and water parks. The role focuses on ensuring operational compliance, enforcing internal controls, and identifying opportunities to reduce loss and risk exposure. The DLPFA leads a team of field auditors and collaborates closely with Operations, Finance, and HR to assess compliance with company policies and support a culture of accountability, safety, and integrity at all locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the planning, development, and execution of field audit programs to assess operational compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee a team of field auditors evaluating cash controls, inventory management, food & beverage operations, safety protocols, and guest service practices across 300+ locations.
- Conduct risk‑based audits, identifying areas of non‑compliance or vulnerability that could contribute to loss or reputational risk.
- Assist with developing and implementing Loss Prevention programs that reduce internal/external theft and improve facility security.
- Develop and refine audit tools, scoring methodologies, and reporting systems to ensure consistent and objective evaluations.
- Collaborate with field Operations and site leaders to ensure audit findings are understood, corrective actions are implemented, and performance is improved.
- Work closely with Loss Prevention, Legal, and HR teams to support investigations and ensure proper documentation of audit‑related violations.
- Analyze audit results and key performance indicators to identify trends, drive improvements, and inform broader LP strategies.
- Deliver regular audit summaries and risk reports to senior leadership with actionable recommendations.
- Assist with training unit‑level leaders on audit expectations, control procedures, and compliance best practices.
- Support special projects such as seasonal openings, high‑risk location assessments, and enterprise‑wide compliance initiatives.
Supervises Loss Prevention & Operational Compliance Auditors and Loss Prevention Business Analysts, with dotted‑line responsibility to Loss Prevention Managers and LPBAs as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum 5‑10 years of experience in loss prevention, internal audit, or compliance roles, preferably in multi‑site entertainment, retail, or hospitality environments.
- Strong knowledge of operational auditing practices, internal controls, and risk management in customer‑facing businesses.
- Experience managing geographically distributed audit teams and conducting large‑scale field assessments.
- Working knowledge of CCTV, security systems, report platforms, POS systems, and MS Office Suite a plus.
- Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate operators at all levels.
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced, dynamic environments with significant travel requirements (40–60%).
- Professional certifications such as LPC, LPQ, or Wicklander.
- Experience with food & beverage audits, cash variance analysis, and safety protocols in amusement or entertainment settings.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
Salary range: $100,000 – $110,000 annually (good faith estimate; final compensation may vary).
