PositionWe are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager to support and lead growth initiatives within a designated geographic region. This role involves cultivating client relationships, supporting proposal development, identifying bid opportunities, and representing the firm at trade shows and industry events. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the A/E/C industry and a passion for building meaningful connections to drive results.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, teaming partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and track new business opportunities, solicitations, RFQs, and contracts across federal, state, and local markets.
- Represent the firm at trade shows, industry mixers, and municipal and federal industry events.
- Coordinate business development trips, capability briefings, and speaking engagements.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal technical or executive teams.
- Support the proposal process, including team assembly and strategic positioning.
- Maintain up-to-date client and prospect records in CRM software.
- Share business development insights and lead status updates with the internal team.
- Assist in the creation of PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials.
- Periodically visit and support regional offices and collaborate with local leadership.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM platform experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials (e.g., tradeshow booth materials up to 30 lbs).
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including extended travel for trade shows and meetings.
- Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods at events.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Pre-employment drug test, background check, and valid driver’s license required.
