Facilities Coordinator – VCU Health – Day Shift

Job Summary

As a Facilities Coordinator, you will support the Plant Operations Maintenance team in a hospital environment. Your responsibilities include planning, prioritizing, and controlling computerized maintenance operations, construction, financial management, and office operations. Schedule is 7 am–3:30 pm or 8 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, set up system, and maintain computerized accounting of day‑to‑day operating costs, including utilities, labor, and projects (invoicing and requisitions).
  • Maintain computerized maintenance management system and all other data, hardware‑software systems related to the department’s operation.
  • Set up, audit, and maintain office, including warehouse, supplier library, POM filing system, and all other maintenance department records.
  • Audit, research, gather data, and prepare analysis and reports on costs, quality assurance, and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Ensure data entry in all systems is up‑to‑date and accurate.
  • Submit ideas on continuous quality improvement.
  • Take minutes and participate in committees as needed.
  • Coordinate department employee engagement activities.
  • All other duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Detailed knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Ability to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Proficient in Windows‑based office software, including all Microsoft applications.
  • Previous vendor‑management experience preferred.
  • Previous facilities‑management experience preferred.

Compensation

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00
