The STEM Grant Support Specialist provides essential support with administrative tasks. They will also support the principal investigators (PI’s) of SYSTEMic’s existing federal, state, local and private grants in the management and coordination of activities.
Responsibilities And Duties- Maintaining grant files
- Managing databases
- Coordinating tasks and conference events within the department and the college
- Accurately input, update, and maintain grant data in databases and spreadsheets
- Draft reports from program data
- Maintain physical and digital records
- Assist with budget tracking
- Financial recordkeeping
- Review peer‑reviewed academic research
- Manage references using citation management tools
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Knowledge of the disciplinary norms and proper citation practices required for peer‑reviewed academic research.
- Ability to generate reports.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of STEM programs and program activities/events.
- Excellent communication and partner relation skills.
- Experience procurement and supply ordering
- Experience customer service
- Experience using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
- Experience working in administrative or operations support at a community college setting or in higher education.
- Experience with procurement and purchasing, including State purchasing (eVA) policies.
