Overview
ACE Program Assistant – Admin and Office Spec III (Role Code 19013-SW).
Pay band: 03 (Annual salary $21.34‑$26.09).
Position Type:
Part‑time (29 hrs/week).
Schedule:
8:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday‑Thursday (or as scheduled).
Eligible for telework as per business needs.
- Serve as first point of contact for students requesting academic assistance at the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at Locust Grove Campus.
- Schedule on‑campus or online tutoring appointments and monitor student progress.
- Provide coverage for the ACE Online Zoom room: greet students, assess needs, schedule appointments, direct to breakout rooms.
- Maintain ACE textbook database and order textbooks for ACE locations and Nursing Instructional Assistants.
- Conduct all department purchasing through eVA.
- Coordinate remediation and workshops for nursing students (e.g., Drug Dosage Workshops, Nursing SI sessions).
- Conduct tours, presentations, and assist with Welcome Day and other college events.
- Assist with organization of the annual ACE Tutor Training Retreat.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including emergency support if required.
- Excellent interpersonal and judgment skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Google Apps, Canvas, Zoom.
- General understanding of courses taught at Germanna.
- Outstanding organizational skills, patience, strong service orientation.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to learn AI tools.
- Administrative experience.
- Procurement experience.
- Higher‑education environment experience.
Travel between campuses may be required. No state vehicle required.
