The Administrative Services Specialist provides executive level administrative support to VCUHS Vice President(s) or Executive Director(s).
The Admin Services Specialist ensures that all administrative assignments are carried out in a professional, timely and confidential manner and that the office operates efficiently and effectively.
The Admin Services Specialist may also provide administrative support to Division Directors/staff and back-up coverage to other senior level executives as needed.

** Experience
REQUIRED:
** Minimum of four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring
** Experience PREFERRED:
** One (1) year of experience supervising staff Two (2) years of previous experience performing accounting and/or budgeting functions in a corporate setting
** Education/training
REQUIRED:
** High School Diploma or equivalent
** Education/training PREFERRED:
** Associate Degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited program
** Independent action(s) required:
** All administrative responsibilities are performed independently.
Communicates and interacts with all levels of internal and external contacts;
Oversees operational aspects of office;
Coordinates/schedules all meeting and makes related arrangements;
Types a variety of documents;
Screens/refers calls;
Handles purchase requisitions and travel reimbursements, etc.
** Supervisory responsibilities** (if applicable): May supervise assigned staff or interns/students.
