Staff / Accounts Payable Accountant (Contract‑to‑Hire)

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a growing broadband and infrastructure services organization to identify Staff / Accounts Payable Accountants for an exciting contract‑to‑hire opportunity based in Richmond, VA.

This role offers the chance to join a collaborative finance team supporting a dynamic, expanding organization, with strong potential for long‑term conversion.

• Location: Richmond, VA
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (with flexibility over time)
• Duration: 3‑month contract with intent to convert
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (market‑based)

• Manage high‑volume accounts payable processing
• Assist with general ledger activities and month‑end close support
• Support fixed assets accounting and tracking
• Work with inventory‑related transactions as needed
• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

• Hands‑on experience in accounts payable accounting
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (required)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment

• Fixed assets accounting
• Inventory accounting or manufacturing‑related exposure
• Prior experience in a contract‑to‑hire or fast‑growth environment
