Senior Accountant

Vaco is actively searching for a Senior Accountant for a growing PE owned company headquartered in Richmond, VA. The role is remote but it has a lot of up front travel the first few months. General Responsibilities:

• Perform Month-end and year-end close
• Prepare financial statements
• Analyze financial information and financial status
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP Principles
• Develop and document processes and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Assist with audits to ensure compliance
• Special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
• BS in Accounting
• Mix of public accounting and corporate accounting a plus
• CPA or CPA Candidate a plus
