Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a background in managing financial transactions. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth processing of invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices with precision and ensure timely payments.

- Conduct coding of invoices to appropriate accounts and verify accuracy.

- Manage check runs and ensure compliance with payment schedules.

- Collaborate with team members to cross-train and provide coverage when needed.

- Maintain detailed and organized records of all accounts payable activities.

- Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office tools to streamline financial operations.

- Support reconciliation efforts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures during invoice processing.

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related role.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs.

- Strong knowledge of invoice processing and financial recordkeeping.

- Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to team needs.

- Strong communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

- Commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance in financial operations.
