Accounting Services​/Bookkeeper

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to support their clients' day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books), and the ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.

• Record and categorize financial transactions (AP, AR, payroll, etc.) for multiple clients
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
• Maintain and organize general ledgers
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports (e.g., income statements, balance sheets)
• Support the preparation of tax filings and compliance documents
• Monitor client deadlines and deliverables (e.g., monthly closes, payroll submissions)
• Communicate with clients to clarify transaction details or gather missing information
• Maintain digital and physical financial records securely
• Work closely with accountants and tax preparers as needed

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP is a plus)
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books Online/Desktop, Xero)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

• Experience working in a public accounting or client-based environment
• Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax filings
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
