MAGNIFY has a NEW opportunity available for a talented and experienced Senior Accountant with our Richmond/Glen Allen, VA area banking client's offices!
- Must have banking experience
- Must have Sr. Accounting experience within the banking space
- CPA is not a MUST, but would be a huge plus!
- Public accounting experience (1+ years) is preferred
- Position would be HYBRID with 3 days on-site, 2 days remote
The Senior Accountant would play a vital role in the financial stability of the organization as well as partner with other departments to strategize and meet the company's needs. The position will report directly to the executive team.

Key Qualifications:
- 3-5 yrs minimum accounting/audit experience reconciliation
- 2+ yrs of banking experience
- Bachelors Degree, in Accounting/Finance
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 1+ yrs Public Accounting preferred
Responsibilities:
- Managing account reconciliations, and resolving all outstanding reconciliations in timely manner
- Research, analysis, and documentation of accounting issues
- Ensure all financial information is being reported correctly
- General ledger and sub-ledger entries, month end accrual & prepaid entries
- Work with bank management to ensure effective internal accounting activity is controlled properly and in compliance
- Participation and cooperation with external audits
- Maintenance of general ledger to include account originations/closures
- Supporting AP functions when needed to ensure internal controls and duty segregation
- Analyze financial data for variances and provide relevant information to leadership
- Adherence/Compliance with all state, federal, and banking regulations
