Position Overview :

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, overseeing the monthly and year-end close process, and providing accurate financial reports. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is capable of navigating financial complexities, ensuring compliance, and guiding junior team members.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions.
Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions and business goals.
Assist in the preparation for audits by compiling and reviewing supporting documentation.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures for internal controls.
Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting processes and system efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
