You must be able to work in a stressful environment and quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systems. The position is responsible for supporting the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence, and for assisting the administration staff in overseeing all staff to ensure quality general and psychiatric care to patients suffering from substance abuse or psychiatric disorders.

Oversee day-to-day activities of staff in all CCD and nursing areas and assist department managers with scheduling, education, and discipline of staff when needed. Involved in direct patient care, education and training, and participation in departmental and hospital meetings as assigned. Review documentation and ensure that documentation is timely, accurate, and complete. The House Supervisor may also serve as a working RN to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during the assigned shift.
  • Determine staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, census, patient acuity, and workflow.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed and assist with problem-solving across staff.
  • Enter orders, assist with admissions or discharges, and coordinate transfers.
  • Ensure staff have necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Initiate weekend case management, Utilization review screening, assist with discharge planning, and swing intake.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
  • Associate's degree in nursing required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations in which the facility operates.
  • 1-year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
  • 1-year experience in a nursing leadership/management role preferred.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
